How it all began and where its going.
Early on, Rae Ann has had a love of music in all styles and forms. Rae Ann studied with Jazz pianist and former Morehead University instructor, Robert Taylor, and a few years later with Julliard instructor, Jazz pianist and arranger, Harold Blanchard. Some of Rae Ann's first professional accomplishments include studio recordings for Neil Diamond, performing with Barry Smith of the Platters, and Sister Rose Cornelius of Brothers Cornelius and Sister Rose. A prolific songwriter, vocalist, pianist, Hammond B-3 player and arranger, Rae Ann utilizes her originals as well as writing new arrangements of familiar tunes.
Rae Ann's style is a unique blend of latin, jazz standards, modern smooth jazz, funk, pop and world music. An anything goes approach to build a a valid and creative new sound for today's modern jazz, pop influenced sounds and dynamic rhythmic grooves.
Encompassing a variety of shows, Rae Ann has performed in worldwide venues for corporate giants such as Disney, Microsoft, Cisco, and Paramount Show services. She has also graced the stages of Las Vegas Casinos and has been instrumental in studio recordings. Rae Ann is proud to be endorsed by Kawai Piano as one of their performing artists. She has traveled worldwide entertianing on the worlds most luxurious cruse ships, Jazz Festivals and in many European capitals as a dynamic and professional new style of jazz artist.
Rae Ann Perez crosses the bridge into a new territory of music that relates and touches people in so many ways. Her new music features combinations of unique rhythms and beautiful melodies. A new modern musical art form by a vibrant performer. An art form born in the US, but made from the World.
